Elections

I decided to speak out loud about the elections. And, since no one invites me to the TV shows as an expert in running my mouth, I just allow myself to do it here. After all, many of us are familiar with the situation when some stupid shit wins the elections and for whom neither we nor our friends voted, but in the end, this shit won anyway. There are also a lot of those who, after having voted for the next "well, this time he is they one we needed" soon want to flush this "the one we needed" down the toilet along with the acquired sense of shame for unjustified trust... The problem of dissatisfaction with the government, unfulfilled election promises, propaganda - it has been relevant for decades.

But I have an idea. I think public election campaigning should not only be abolished, but also fucking prohibited by criminal law in any form. The state budget is tailored to it, it litters the brains of the whole society... Pay attention, the election campaigns almost always target pensioners who struggle trying to make ends meet and have to choose between food and medicine. Or teenagers, who appreciate beautiful words.

The idea is the following: all the candidates should provide a CV (yes, CV, because we hire them, and don't choose an owner!)

The resume should contain info like full name, age, where they studied, where they worked, what were their responsibilities at work, achievements and photo 3x4. Mentioning the candidate's name = instant disqualification.

Resumes are sent to voters by email or messenger, and, if interested in someone, the voters gather in groups and call the candidate for a meeting (interview), then vote for the selected candidate, set a trial period with a lower salary and increased control, and if everything is ok, they leave the person in the current position. What could be easier?

I imagined if, for example, looking for a job as a designer, I began to send videos to potential employers, where it's dawning outside the window and I sit at the computer desperately looking at the monitor, working on a layout, and, brushing away a tear, speaking in a low calm tone: "I don't have empty talk, I just love and do my job, for myself and for honest people." And then my photo pops up with slightly photoshopped eyes, the signature below and a professional voice-over "For myself and for honest people. Marie N."

Or imagine that I came to some company at lunchtime and arranged a meeting with employees there, distributing flyers with my portfolio, answering questions about how I am going to design products, keep my workplace clean, and give everyone a mouse with the inscription - Marie N. "For myself and for honest people", and the concierge gets a rose and a teddy bear from me as I don't forget to add that I love cats, and I have two - a red one and a grey one with a heart-shaped spot on its paw... Yeah, and there would be my huge portrait, also photoshopped, as in the video, and this slogan. And, interestingly, everything will pay off for the money I cheated the voters out of!!!

I think this would make a good comic sketch.

Employers, when looking for an employee, are not very emotionally inclined, they say they will contact me if I'm shortlisted and just go through the applicants' CVs. So why the hell should I, as an employer, pay  for a soap opera for retirees and teenagers, played by the same crappy amateur actors who have access to free money for their own shitty benefit performance, to see these faces on the big-boards, to listen to these snotty outrages that differ from each other only in the order of the same words? After all, we are hiring a manager, not a speaker for a corporate event. Maybe when society comes to a complete rejection of this show, those for whom it is designed will actually begin to live better? The question is rhetorical.
